This work was made up of a box that a selection of artists were invited to use as a bin for any waste they created while practicing their art. Over time the box was filled with a wide range of materials, objects, colours and textures. Normally these elements would have been thrown away, however by collecting them together they were given new life as a mobile sculptural project that could be packed up, moved to new locations, and then unpacked and exhibited. Each unpacking created a new and original sculptural work. A nice irony was created in that the artwork was created unintentionally and unconsciously from waste produced while trying to create ‘Art’. It could be argued that the waste produced was perhaps more interesting and original than anything that could be created consciously.
