Bananabox Project

With this project I wanted to create a nomadic guerrilla architecture that blurred the lines between sculpture/space and the public/private. I wanted to utilise the unused, negative spaces found within the corporate environment (in this case the area under a stair well) as a site for resistance and rebellion against conformity and obedience. Through subversion and difference, and by using impoverished recyclable materials, a structure was created and which could be used as the location for various collaborative projects and exchanges.
